This restaurant has never disappointed. The owners and staff have exceptional customer service. My kids LOVE coming here and if it were up to them it would be every week. My daughter had her birthday here in September and they come to the table with this awesome lighted sign and sing. My favorites eats are the crunchy spicy crab rolls, shrimp hibachi with fried rice or noodles and the delicious white sauce that comes with it. Their drinks are always fabulous as well. We just ate there last night because you never know when you are going to need a Hirosaki fix.
This is my go to sushi place! The sushi is always delicious. The sweetie roll is my favorite and we always start with steamed shrimp shumai. My kids are obsessed with this place. We have it at least once or twice a week. They love the fried rice, salmon avocado rolls, hibachi steak, nothing has been bad! The place is always clean. The hostess is beautiful and always welcoming. The service is great! By far my favorite sushi place in the area.
This amazing establishment is our local go to restaurant when we are in the mood for sushi and delicious cocktails. Many great memories celebrating with family and friends. Been to three fabulous birthdays here including one for my youngest son. Most awesome happy hour specials Monday through Friday starting at 4pm. They honor happy hour at the beautiful bar and the cool hip bar lounge. Staff is amazing, patient, helpful and personable. Especially Anya and Tai! Food is always fresh and delicious. Highly recommended!!!
Came here for lunch on fathers day. The restaurant nice and clean. Friendly staff. Food was good. Some was definitely better than others. Our favorite appetizer was the crabmeat wrapped in salmon. The ribs were okay. I wish they were more tender. The scallops were our least favorite. The noodle was really good. I thought it was pretty price for the dish but when it came out and i saw all the food it was worth it. Hubby got the bento box and it was good. The sushi was pretty fresh. We would definitely go back to try other things on the menu.
I want take time to carefully post the following review of Hirosaki in Stonybrook. I took time on Monday night to meet friends at this outstanding restaurant. The decor is something out of NYC. It's modern, cozy, and immaculate. The lighting is also set just right. Not to bright not to dim. Now the most important part. THE FOOD! 10 out of 10. The sushi was fresh, creative and delicious. The signature rolls were some of the best sushi I've ever had. The hit appetizers were just as good. We even ordered the rib eye entree. That literally melted in your mouth. The staff was attentive, professional and eager to please us. The cocktails were so innovative and delicious. Each drink was garnished like it belonged on magazine cover. Thanks to the staff of Hirosaki. It was excellent.
Loved it here. Best sushi and hibachi around. Had my wife's birthday party there . The staff and food was amazing. The place is recently updated and is very clean. Actually spotless . Very impressed! Can't wait to go back
Ordered through DoorDash. Spring rolls were fantastic. The pork gyoza were good but a bit soggy. The American dream roll was super underwhelming and I would not recommend.
If you know what happened here before Hirosaki came in chances are you were like me and thinking about not ever going back. I'm not sure if it's the same owners or not but all I can say is that this is 100 times better than Kumo ever was. The place feels clean and fresh, the service was top notch, and the food was better than Kumo ever was. I'm very happy with this replacement, it's better on every level compared to Kumo which I wrote off prior to the "incident" anyway. Definitely happy I gave it a chance and I will absolutely be back. Hopefully they will continue the high level of service and food quality.
